About Us

History Anchored in Honor

The foundation of MCL Gen Ray Davis MOH Det 1188 is part of a proud and time-honored legacy that began with the establishment of the Marine Corps League in 1923 by Major General John A. Lejeune, a decorated World War I veteran. Recognized and Congressionally Chartered in 1937, the Marine Corps League became a formal and enduring presence in the lives of Marines across the country. Our detachment proudly carries forward that tradition, standing as a locally grounded extension of a national mission—to unite Marines and FMF Navy Personnel in fellowship, support, and service beyond the battlefield.

Our identity as a 501(c)(4) nonprofit veteran organization is more than just a classification—it reflects our long-standing commitment to serve one another and our community. As Marines who have answered the call in uniform, we continue to answer it now through structured, values-driven engagement with fellow veterans, their families, and patriotic citizens. We are honored to uphold the Marine Corps League’s original purpose: to preserve the legacy of the Corps and ensure that no Marine is ever left behind, in spirit or in life.
